The evangelical Church in Latin America is growing faster than in the USA.  So why would they need our help?  Way back, some two generations behind us (or were they ahead of us?), mission strategist John R. Mott said,

The greatest weakness of the missionary movement

was our failure to produce

well trained leaders for national churches.

Yes, the Christian church is exploding in the Latin world - but not enough leaders are being trained to lead churches Biblically.  It is amazing to note the fact that:

All the evangelical schools put together -

are not able to meet the huge demand

for trained church leadership in the Latin-world! 
 

Biblical leaders lead people into Biblical truths.  That is why, here at least - more is better!  More training is needed.  And that is why the InterGlobal Institute (IG) was founded from Big Bear Lake (California)...because more training is needed!  Begun under Campus Crusade's ISOT school in Fontana, California, IG was later founded as a separate non-profit institution in 2001. Today InterGlobal is growing, training Spanish speaking church leaders around the globe!

To-date (Jan/2008): over 1,400 Users are registered into InterGlobal's online eLearning Center.  IG students are in 31 countries around the world!  (Spanish is IG's primary language.)  It is quite exciting to have so many leaders interested in IG online courses!  With some 18 teachers associated with IG to-date, InterGlobal is now able to offer two complete learning tracks - providing just-in-time learning for church leaders - right where they live.  And the institute is in the process of obtaining recognized academic credit.

InterGlobal's first full program is a Diploma in Practical Ministries (DPM), a series of 12 courses completely online, providing training in basic skills for Christian service, courses like:

The DPM program is a great complement to what regional Bible institute programs offer.  IG students have an added advantage: they do not have to travel far for IG classes. The internet is local!

The second full program InterGlobal provides is a Series on eLearning - How To Teach Online. Experienced church leaders from all over the globe are learning how to put their expertise in front of other church leaders who need what they can teach... online! 

Through IG, teachers learn how to produce interactive, facilitated online courses.  Once a teacher completes this training, InterGlobal enables these carefully screened graduates, Latin-world church leaders, to facilitate their own courses online - utilizing the IG platform. InterGlobal is strategically providing more learning for ministry.  Here at least ...more is better!
